Sin is a chronic situation, bringing about all sorts of pain and hurt in the world. We often try to solve this problem by being and doing the right Christian stuff to be right with God. However, Jesus says that we’re only deceiving ourselves: the only real freedom to be found is by abiding in the truth of His promises. The story of Jesus has never been about who you are, it’s always been about abiding in who Jesus is.
