Home At Last Wrap Up

Heads Up: These next few weeks, we have a few options to get small group discussion rolling before we have more robust guides for the sermon series starting on February 16th: (1) A Comprehensive Discussion on the Ruth Series and (2) An array of questions that help guide your group in examining the Fall and dreaming for the future.

This Sunday, we finished up the final part of a series on the book of Ruth, Home at Last. In light of this, we want to encourage your group to sit with a question or two connected to each chapter/sermon from the series:

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

Week 1: Lost & Longing for Home

  • In what area of life have you shared in the experience of Naomi who feels bitter towards God? Do you remember a time when you clung to God and the people of God as a way of hope in the midst of hopelessness?

Week 2: The Invisible Work

  • What quiet, hidden, invisible work have you found meaningful in being a part of our church home? How did it impact your life with God?

Week 3: Room in Our Hearts

  • What stories are happening right now in the life of our church that you are excited about?

Week 4: Loss to Legacy

  • What promise or promises of God are you holding onto about the future?

PRAY IT OUT

  • This week, as you close with a time of prayer together. We want to invite you to give gratitude to God in prayer by naming the ways that you have found home through the people in this small group and to pray for God open y’all up to living sacrificially and vulnerably with each other for the sake of deepening experiences of home within the group.
